• represented insurer in landmark case, Hartford Fire Ins. Co v. Maryland Nat'l Bank, 671A.2d22(Md. 1996), recognizing right of drawer to bring action against depository bank

• complete jury verdict in New York for $4 million compensatory and $50 million punitive damages for civil malicious prosecution on behalf of Japanese businessman, after successful defense of client in New York (with related litigation in Hong Kong and Liechtenstein) against claim for conversion of funds in Hong Kong

• obtained $2 million judgment in favor of commercial tenant in action against landlord arising from landlord's failure to protect tenant from unruly co-tenants
